Competence Framework and Platform Development in focus
Over the summer months of June and July, the ARIES project has made significant progress in bringing together two key work packages: the Competence Framework and the Platform Development. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between the theoretical foundations of Augmented and Immersive Reality (AR/IR) in education and its practical application through an accessible, user-friendly platform.
The ARIES platform now hosts a series of courses designed to provide educators with practical insights and skills, including:
The ARIES Competence Framework
- The LEVEL5 approach
- Competence-Oriented Learning and Validation
- Augmented and Immersive Reality
- Facilitating design thinking courses
In addition, a wiki has been created to act as a resource hub, providing teachers with tools to use augmented and immersive reality in their classrooms.
This hand-in-hand development allows teachers to explore different perspectives on how to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, classroom-ready content. The combined framework and platform approach will help educators navigate the future of digital learning environments, especially with AR/IR technologies.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce the upcoming teacher training in Palermo this November, where educators will delve deeper into the practical aspects of AR/IR and gain hands-on experience with the tools and strategies that will shape their classrooms. Stay tuned for more updates as the ARIES project continues to evolve!
