Upcoming Teacher Training in Palermo
We are pleased to announce the upcoming teacher training in Palermo, which will take place from 11 to 15 November 2024. This training is part of the ARIES project’s efforts to provide teachers with practical skills for integrating Augmented and Immersive Reality (AR/IR) technologies into their teaching practice.
Overview of the training agenda:
The event is designed to provide a hands-on experience for teachers, with a focus on exploring how AR/IR tools can enhance classroom learning. Key elements of the agenda include
Day 1: Introduction to AR/IR and pedagogy
Teachers will be introduced to the ARIES Competence Framework and gain an understanding of how AR/IR technologies can support learning objectives and improve student engagement.
Day 2: AR/IR tools in action
Teachers will have the opportunity to try out different AR/IR tools and explore how they can be used across subjects. This session will focus on practical applications and lesson planning.
Day 3: Content creation
Participants will develop AR/IR-based learning materials tailored to their specific subjects, working in groups to share ideas and approaches.
Day 4: Testing and feedback
Teachers will test their lesson plans with the group and provide feedback on their experiences. This feedback will be useful for refining their approach and for the ARIES project itself.
Day 5: Reflection and planning for the future
The final day will focus on reflection and gathering feedback from the teachers. The input collected will help to further develop the ARIES platform and ensure that it remains practical and relevant to teachers’ needs.
A practical approach to supporting teachers
The training will be flexible and responsive to teacher input, with adjustments made based on feedback throughout the week. The aim is to ensure that teachers feel supported and confident in using AR/IR technologies in their classrooms.
Looking ahead
The lessons learned from this training will play an important role in the ongoing development of the ARIES project. By working directly with teachers, we want to ensure that the resources created are practical, accessible and helpful in real classroom environments.
We look forward to the discussions and feedback from this training event, which will help us to continue to improve and refine the ARIES platform.
