On 12–13 December 2023, the partners of the GBS – Empowering Citizens’ Self-Employment in Green Business project came together in Göttingen, Germany, for the very first transnational meeting. ✨
Over two inspiring days, the team shared project goals, clarified responsibilities, and mapped out the first steps towards supporting seniors in building their own green businesses. One of the first tasks ahead is to collect the most innovative examples and best practices of sustainable entrepreneurship across Europe. 🌱💡
The GBS project is all about motivation and empowerment. It will encourage senior citizens to explore self-employment in the green sector, while also providing a flexible and digitally supported mentoring and learning pathway. Alongside this, a digital tool will be developed to recognise the skills learners gain, and adult educators will be supported in strengthening their capacity to guide learners in digital environments. 💻👩🏫
The meeting in Göttingen set the tone for a fruitful collaboration among partners from Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Portugal. With strong teamwork and a clear vision, the consortium is ready to move forward and bring the project’s ideas to life. 🚀
