Last week, the everGREEN project reached its conclusion with a memorable final multiplier event at the European Parliament 🇪🇺. Over the past three years, this initiative has played a pivotal role in enabling VET organisations to transition toward more sustainable practices.
Sarah Wild from BUPNET GmbH provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s journey, celebrating key achievements such as innovative courses, frameworks, and practical tools that will continue to support greening efforts across Europe.
EVTA is honoured to have been part of this impactful initiative, which has not only supported external organisations in becoming more eco-friendly but has also encouraged us to implement sustainable practices in our own operations. Our commitment to building a greener Europe has never been stronger.
⭐️ The event also featured a compelling panel discussion on the importance of integrating green skills into VET curricula. Hugo Marques Moniz (INOVINTER), Sabine Wiemann (BUPNET), and Taube Van Melkebeke (Green European Foundation) provided insights into the challenges and opportunities from both institutional and European policy perspectives.
Looking ahead, our priority is to maximise the use of the resources developed through the project. A highlight of the event was the introduction of micro-credentials by Oonagh McGirr FRSA (World Alliance for Microcredentials Foundation), opening exciting new possibilities in lifelong learning and skilling. Strengthening our collaboration with WAM will be a key part of sustaining the impact of everGREEN.
