At the end of October, we travelled to Kaunas for the concluding phase of the GBS project, which included the final Transnational Partner Meeting and the official closing conference. On 28 October, the consortium met at the offices of EINC to review the project’s results, coordinate final reporting tasks and prepare the next day’s event. The meeting was productive and collegial, marking the successful completion of two years of collaboration across five countries. The partners closed the day with a shared dinner in the city centre.

The final conference took place on 29 October at the Best Western Santakos Hotel and brought together older adults, educators, local stakeholders and members of the wider community. The event was opened by Margarita Tereseviciene, President of the Lithuanian Association of Distance and e-Learning, who welcomed the audience and reflected on the importance of adult education in supporting sustainable entrepreneurship. She was joined by Daiva Damuleviciene from EINC, who introduced the GBS project and set the scene for the day.

The programme continued with presentations on the project’s results, including the digital learning materials, the eRepository and the eToolkit. Daiva Vysniauskiene, representing the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, provided insights into how local institutions can support small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, complementing the project’s focus on green and sustainable initiatives. Participants also had the chance to take part in an interactive activity designed to introduce some of the learning tools developed during the project.

The conference concluded with open discussions and informal exchanges over refreshments, followed later by a joint dinner with partners, EINC colleagues and several participants. The event offered an excellent opportunity to share project achievements, build new connections and celebrate the outcomes of the GBS initiative.
