Development of a Competence Framework and Teacher Insights
In our latest update on the ARIES project, we are pleased to report progress on two fronts: the development of a competency framework focusing on Augmented and Immersive Reality (AR & IR) and the first results of our survey on teachers’ needs in this area.
Development of a Competence Framework:
One of the main outcomes of the ARIES project is the development of a competency framework tailored to AR and IR technologies. This framework aims to define the essential skills and knowledge that educators need to effectively integrate augmented and immersive reality into their teaching practice. Through collaboration and input from experts in the field, we are working to ensure that the framework reflects the diverse needs and contexts of educators across Europe.
Insights from teachers:
Our survey to gain insights from teachers about their experiences with AR and IR technologies has started to yield valuable results. One clear finding is that teachers express a desire for easy-to-use and freely available tools to integrate augmented and immersive reality into their teaching. This feedback underlines the importance of accessibility and affordability for the widespread adoption and use of AR and IR technologies in education.
Stay tuned for updates as we move forward with the ARIES project and work towards our common goal of advancing education through augmented and immersive reality technologies. Your input and support will be invaluable as we embark on this exciting journey together. Thank you for being part of the ARIES community.
