From 30 September to 2 October, partners from across Europe met in Thessaloniki for the second UpSpace project meeting — joined by teachers from all participating countries for the first pre-piloting of the new UpSpace curriculum.

The goal: rethink how we prepare students for the future. During hands-on sessions, teachers tested learning tools that connect sustainability, upcycling, and urban regeneration with everyday school subjects. Instead of treating the future as something abstract, UpSpace brings it directly into the classroom through creative, practical activities.

The pre-piloting focused on the project’s three core outputs:
a future-oriented curriculum for teachers
a blended-learning curriculum for students
a multilingual e-learning platform for open access and collaboration

The feedback from educators was inspiring — and will help refine the materials before the next project phase.

Together, we’re building practical, engaging, and future-ready learning for schools across Europe.
