Akajanga from the Victoria Lake Region is wondering how the effects of climate change like floods, irregular rain patterns and global warming are affecting our next generation. He thinks, that biomass and solar engery are very important for ending the use of fossil fuels that are responsible for a large scale of the climate change. Interview by Ginthushaann Indirakumar
We were talking to Merwan from Morocco – a youth delegate of the young people climate summit COY13. He mentions a one month lasting festival in Morocco where uge amounts of coal are used for BBQs. The second partner meeting is scheduled October 10th to 11th at Brussels, hosted by Pro Natura.
Capacity Building questionnaires have been set up and distributed to the partners including stakeholder analysis, information on best capacity building formats and competence portfolio. The questionnaires will be used as first step of a Delphi Study design to forcast the regional developments.
The kick-off meeting in Bonn in January 2017 officially inaugurated the project activities. The meeting served to get to know to each other and to the project activities ahead, and to plan the subsequent steps in detail. The EELLSS partners organised their final event on October 5th and 6th, 2017, in Kassel. The two-day event brought together more than 85 people from all the seven partner countries – among them all partners and all those teachers and students that have been involved in the learning projects. Highlights were the European buffet with treats of each partner country , the common art project and the European fair. Read more in our newsletter.
… when employing refugees? The partnership is currrently trying to find answers to this and other questions. For this purpose an online survey was set up and a series of interviews will be conducted with enterprises in all partner regions. Also, the partnership tries to identify examples of good practice for the successful integration of refugees into enterprises.
