In late August, the partners of the UNITE Project met in Copenhagen for a two-day study visit and workshop hosted by Væksthuset, a Danish organisation at the forefront of social innovation and labour market inclusion.
The visit offered participants valuable insights into research-informed practices and training approaches that support refugees and jobseekers in their path towards sustainable employment. Throughout the sessions, the group explored key aspects such as:
✅ Building confidence and motivation among jobseekers
✅ Designing job-oriented interventions and fostering collaboration with employers
✅ Applying BIP indicators to monitor individual progress towards work or education
✅ Strengthening reflective and professional practices among employment counsellors
The workshop blended theoretical input, practical exercises, and peer exchange, demonstrating how evidence-based methods and human-centred practice can work hand in hand to create meaningful impact.
This experience represents a significant step forward in UNITE’s shared European effort to develop coherent, effective, and compassionate strategies for refugee inclusion in the labour market.
A warm thank-you to Væksthuset Kompetence, Research, and Beskæftigelse for their expert guidance and to all project partners from Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Poland for their commitment and collaborative spirit. 🌍🤝
